About Keith Weiss, CFP®

Helping Successful Professionals Make Better Financial Decisions With Clarity and Confidence

Most people don’t hire a financial planner because they want another investment opinion.

They hire one because the financial decisions they’re facing have become more consequential.

My role is to help bring clarity, coordination, and confidence to those decisions.

I’m Keith Weiss, CFP®, a fee-only financial planner. I work with individuals and families who have done well financially and want to get organized, make smarter decisions, and begin shaping a path toward financial independence and an optional retirement and begin shaping a path toward financial independence and an optional retirement—with clarity around the decisions that matter most.

I help successful professionals organize financial complexity so they can make better decisions and use their wealth intentionally.

Many of my clients are navigating this same transition—from building wealth to making more intentional decisions about how to use it.

My goal isn’t simply to help you build wealth. It’s to help you use your wealth intentionally—with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.

At some point, the questions change.

Instead of asking:

“Am I saving enough?”

People begin asking:

“What is all of this for?”

That’s where financial planning becomes about much more than investments.

And more specifically:

  • When does work become optional?
  • Am I making the right trade-offs between saving and actually enjoying life?
  • How do I make better decisions around taxes, investments, and long-term planning?
  • Value clarity, organization, and having a long-term advisor relationship

That’s where I come in—helping you bring clarity, structure, and direction to those decisions—so you can move forward with confidence.

  • You have a 401(k), 403(b), or pension and want help making the most of it

  • You’re approaching retirement and want confidence that your savings will support the life you want to live
  • You’ve experienced a financial windfall and want to make thoughtful long-term decisions
  • You value having a long-term advisor who helps you think through financial decisions as life evolves

My Clients Typically…

  • Have accumulated meaningful assets
  • Have multiple moving financial pieces
  • Value thoughtful decision-making
  • Prefer long-term relationships
  • Want coordination—not just investment management

Everything I do is guided by one idea

Return on Life.

Financial planning isn’t about accumulating wealth for its own sake.

It’s about helping your financial resources support the life you’re trying to build.

That’s why every recommendation—whether it’s an investment decision, tax strategy, retirement plan, or major financial choice—is made in the context of your broader goals.

I work with clients across New York and Connecticut, with many based in Putnam, Westchester, and Fairfield counties.

How I Help Clients

My work focuses on helping clients navigate important financial decisions, including:

Comprehensive Financial Planning

  • Retirement

  • Estate Coordination

Investment Management

  • Portfolio Construction

This isn’t about chasing returns—it’s about making thoughtful, informed decisions that support your life over time.

Personal Bio

Early in my career, I realized that the greatest value I could provide wasn’t predicting markets—it was helping people make better financial decisions.

Investments matter.

Taxes matter.

Retirement planning matters.

But what matters most is helping people use those tools to build the life they actually want.

Why I Do This Work

Financial planning isn’t about predicting markets.

It’s about helping people make better decisions.

I’ve found that the greatest value isn’t found in picking investments.

It’s helping clients organize complexity, reduce uncertainty, and move forward with confidence.

Helping clients make thoughtful financial decisions with greater clarity and confidence is the work I find most meaningful.

My Role

I don’t believe my job is to predict markets or have all the answers.

My role is to ask the right questions.

To organize complexity.

To explain tradeoffs.

To help you make decisions with confidence.

That’s where I believe a financial planner creates the greatest value.

That’s where I believe a financial planner creates the greatest value—not by predicting markets, but by helping people make better decisions.
